Bird Watching 101 at Southfields Village

Time: 10:30am to 11:30am

Arrival time: 9:30am – Library staff will be on site to open the doors for us.

Location: Caledon Public Library - Southfields Village Branch (225 Dougall Avenue, Caledon)

Description: Discover the basics of using binoculars, learn how to identify common bird species, and deepen your connection with nature. We'll start indoors with a short powerpoint presentation, then head out into the park to spot birds and record our findings on iNaturalist. Perfect for beginners and nature enthusiasts alike!

This event is intended for Families (Ages 6+) & Individual:

Beginner level information

  • Activities and concepts that are friendly for all ages
  • Intended audience includes children, youth, and adults
  • Parents and guardians must be on-site with their child at all times. Children may not be left unattended.
