Winter Bird Walk - February 22, 2025.
Bird Walk Update - The bird walk will take place.
Join Us for a FREE Beginner-friendly Bird Walk
A bird walk is a opportunity to enjoy nature and potentially observe some fascinating birds! We are planning an easy two-hour walk at the local hotspot, Humber Bay East. The outings will focus on providing you with views of winter waterfowl found in the GTA. Expected duck species include Redhead, Northern Shoveler, White-winged Scoter, Hooded Merganser etc. Keep an eye out for some other wintering birds such as Snow Buntings and American Tree Sparrows.
Please note the parking details below. We will first meet at the Humber Bay West parking lot and then a short walk to Humber Bay East.
If you have binoculars and/or a spotting scope, please bring them. We have a spotting scope to share with the group.
Your hike leader will be local birder Peter Sproule.
