NutraSaff Safflower A Safe Nutritious Bird Seed

NutraSaff Safflower or Golden Safflower is a great bird seed to feed your birds but just like the traditional white Safflower your squirrels, grackles and starlings will typically leave it alone. Many of your favourite birds will try, eat and make NutraSaff a regular part of their diet. NutraSaff is more readily accepted by our local birds than traditional safflower and over time, you'll end up with a dining spot for all kinds of birds, including Cardinals, woodpeckers, nuthatches, chickadees, finches, mourning doves and more.

• NutraSaff has an extremely thin outer hull - 40% thinner than traditional safflower.
  NutraSaff has 15% more oil content than traditional safflower.
  NutraSaff has 25% higher protein than traditional safflower.

  NutraSaff is an organic, “chemical free” feed.
  Wild birds have an easier time digesting and extracting the meal from NutraSaff safflower seeds vs traditional safflower.

Local Results

We have been offering NutraSaff in a seed cylinder or seed bell format, known as Golden Safflower, since May 2020. Initially we tested the cylinders in our own backyards and were very happy with the results. Cardinals, chickadees and nuthatches visited the cylinder on a regular basis, the squirrels and blackbirds did not. With our own successful test we offered it for sale in-store and on-line. Customer feedback was very positive and we have made the Golden Safflower cylinder part of our regular stock. 

Now Available As a Bagged Seed

We are now offering NutaSaff as a bagged loose seed. NutraSaff can be offered in hopper, platform or tube feeders, and it is especially helpful for window or deck feeders where blackbirds or squirrels may be a problem. NutraSaff can be offered as a single seed type or by gradually, mixing it with the seed blends you currently provide.
