Spring Bird Walk - April 26, 2025
Bird Walk Update - Walk will take place
A bird walk provides an excellent opportunity to connect with nature and observe captivating bird species. The upcoming spring bird walk is scheduled to take place at Colonel Sam Smith Park, with a primary focus on sightings of spring migrants. Participation is limited to thirty (30) registered individuals. Highlights from previous years include observations of Eastern Whip-poor-will, Golden-winged Warbler, Sora, Virginia Rail, and Summer Tanager. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars if available. Please note that the walk may venture beyond paved trails in some areas, and ground conditions could be wet or muddy. Suitable footwear is highly recommended.
